With all the recent rugby played, this was always going to be a big ask for the 1sts, especially as Old Cents had the luxury of playing in the semi-final without having played a single qualifying match whilst Chosen had defeated both Matson and Widden to reach this stage.
Cents scored a converted try after just six minutes but Chosen responded four minutes later with a try from Marc Riddel converted by Andy King.
A penalty put Cents back in front but Chosen went into the lead after 25 minutes when Tom Knight scored and King converted. Cents responded with a converted try to retake the lead by 3 points but then Tom Darby crossed for Chosen with King's convertion putting them back in front 21-17.
Two more tries for Cents, one of which was converted gave them a 29-21 interval lead.
An un-converted try four minutes into the second half extend the Cents lead to 34-21 but Chosen hit back with a second try from Marc Riddel and when Rob Panting crashed over for a try converted by King Chosen were right back in the match at just one point behind with the scoreline 33-34.
As the final whistle approached Cents made sure of victory with a final converted try.
A great team effort by Chosen but ultimately they probably paid the price for having to play six highly competitive matches in just 17 days
