Your September Touchline sees the start of a new academic year and 100 more schools joining the rugby family as part of CBRE All Schools, taking the total to 500.

With CBRE All Schools a key part of the RFU’s Rugby World Cup 2015 legacy, a year beyond the opening ceremony we take a look at the tournament’s lasting legacy.

Elsewhere we reflect on England Women U20 3-0 series win over Canada and take a look at the first of 100 floodlit artificial grass pitches to be installed at Aylesbury, Preston and Weston Super Mare.

CBRE All Schools hits 500
As schools went back last week, there were a 100 more joining the rugby family as part of England Rugby’s CBRE All Schools.
The 500 already involved at the start of this new school year will continue to expand, with the aim of extending the number to 750 by 2019.

England Women U20 win 3-0
England Women U20 sealed a 3-0 series win over Canada after recording a six-try 34-12 victory at Trent College, Long Eaton.
Jo Yapp’s side had previously recorded successive victories against Canada, beating their opponents 46-8 and 39-12.

First Artificial Grass Pitches
Work is underway on the RFU’s first floodlit artificial grass pitches in Aylesbury, Preston and Weston Super Mare.
The three pitches are part of the RFU’s Rugby World Cup 2015 legacy, which includes a four year £50m+ investment in 100 AGPs across the country.
