With skipper Dean Barnard and both regular hookers Chris Dallard and Mike Darby unavailable Chosen had to re-jig their pack with veteran flanker Kirk Lewis coming into the team at hooker to join son Ashley who played at full back.
Wells started at a fast pace and as Chosen struggled to organise their defence, the home side had two converted tries on the board after just ten minutes, but gradually Chosen began to settle and they restricted their hosts to just one further try, scored just before half time to take a twenty one points to nil interval lead.
In the second half Chosen showed a marked improvement, going close to scoring several times before they eventually managed to get some points on the board with a well worked try from young winger Kevin Saunders who crossed near the corner. Wells however had the final say, with their fourth bonus point try just before the final whistle.
Despite the score-line, Chosen were pleased with their second half performance and with several experienced players due back, they will be looking forward to next week’s home match against Yatton which kick-off at 2.30pm.
