In the opening period the Chosen Hill players looked lost, in Billy's case quite literally as he and his mum were taking a tour of the local countryside, against a big and well organized Bredon side who took full advantage and recorded a comprehensive 6-0 win.
The second period was a much different contest with both sides going tit for tat and after conceding an early try Chosen Hill responded with Alex Johnson, who was punching above his weight in defence, creating an opportunity for Jai Robinson to pass on to Harry Johns to score his first before one of his trademark mazy runs doubled his tally. Unfortunately Bredon scored again and on the last play after repelling wave after wave of attacks Chosen Hill's defence was breached and we ended up losing 3-2.
Buoyed on by their last performance Chosen Hill took to the field again looking to secure a win and Ben Pritchard was showing up well in attack and defence before he had to leave the field for the second time due to injury. It turned out to be a period of missed opportunities as despite matching Bredon across the pitch we failed to take our chances and ended up losing 2-0.
The final period turned out to be a game too far as Bredon's bigger squad looked fresher and ended up winning quite convincingly 7-2 although the score does not reflect the effort put in as Chosen Hill attacked with flair but couldn't contain the powerful Bredon runners in defence. Dan Laverton scored with an opportunist's blind side break before Harry Johns once again jinked his way over.
