v Drybrook - 4 quarters 10 minutes each
By Paul Fredericks
Cold but reasonably dry
Chosen's under 11's had the advantage of the slope in the first quarter and were leading by 19 points to nil at the first break.
The second quarter was high scoring with Chosen Hill scoring 5 tries to Drybrook's four, with Chosen leading 52 to 26 at half time.
Chosen Hill had the slope advantage again in the third quarter and won this by three tries to nil, in the last quarter Rowan Mullis guested for Drybrook and scored two tries for them to cancel out two of the five he had scored earlier in the game for Chosen Hill.
The whole of the match was played in good spirit with the officials allowing the game to flow whilst at the same time coaching the boys as the game progressed.
Although Chosen Hill won the game the final score being Drybrook 52 Chosen Hill 76 I am sure that the the Chosen Hill players will be doing extra tackling in training this week as most of the tries conceeded could have been prevented
Quote of the day: Rowan Mullis on being asked whether he enjoyed the match: "Only when running down hill"
