In their final warm-up game before the league season gets under way, Chosen Hill, who had first use of the slope, ran in four tries to record a comfortable victory over visitors Corsham.
Playing with pace and confidence, Chosen Hill's young side were twenty points to nil up after just twenty minutes as skipper Andy King landed two penalty goals and then converted tries from himself and prop Tim Selway.
There was no further score in the first half but Chosen debutant winger Danny Moore went over for a try converted by King after just two minutes of the second half and with a 27-0 lead it looked as though Chosen were cruising to a big win, but when skipper King was sent to the sin bin for a technical offence in the tackle, the visitors suddenly found some space and two quick tries from their right wing, one of which was converted, gave them hopes of a shock recovery. Time, however was not on their side and with King back on the field Chosen scored try number four as young full back Adam Scourfield finished off a flowing backs move with a try converted by King.
Chosen now turn their attention to the league with St Marys Old Boys being next weeks visitors to Brookfield Road.
