On a bright and sunny but cold afternoon, Cirencester got off to a dream start when, within two minutes of the kick-off, they secured the put in to a scrum on the Chosen twenty two and their number eight picked up and went to the blind side.Chosen were simply too slow to react and slick handling through a couple of pairs of hands put the Cirencester winger in under the posts with the conversion a mere formality.
Although Chosen were dominating the territory, procession was about equal and it was fifteen minutes before Chosen were able to get their first points on the board when second row Nick Stroud charged over after good lineout work ten metres out. Number ten Andy King landed the conversion to level the scores and there was no further score in the first-half.
On forty six minutes Chosen’s King dummied and jinked his way over for a fine individual score which he then converted.

With five minutes of normal time remaining Chosen struck again when a fine run from centre Tom Darby took him to within fifteen metres of the line and as he was tackled he managed to release the ball to scrum-half Tom Knight who sprinted in under the posts with King converting for a 21-13 lead.
Cirencester were enjoying a lot more territory than in the first half but Chosen’s defence held firm as the home side went close on several occasions until finally a penalty goal for CCCirencester reduced the deficit to just five points.
With the match finally balanced and injury time being played Chosen sealed victory with their fourth and bonus point try. King made a good break from near the half way line and passed onto winger James Wyllie who cut up the Cirencester defence before releasing fellow winger Jamie Gamble who dived over near the corner.
