Chosen Hill recorded an emphatic victory over visiting Cheltenham to narrow the gap between them and top placed Keynsham back to 5 points.
When these two teams met back in November, Cheltenham ran out winners by 10-8 but there was to be no repeat of this result as Chosen Hill dominated from start to finish, running in nine tries to maintain pressure on top of the table Keynsham, who have to visit Brookfield Road for both teams final league match of the season
Playing up the slope and into a low sun, Chosen went ahead after ten minutes when full back Adam Claridge crossed for an unconverted try and six minutes later they extended their lead when in-form prop Henry Compton barged his way over for a try converted by outside half Andy King.
On the half-hour, Chosen winger Ed Higgs crossed for try number three with King adding the extras and just three minutes later, King intercepted a loose Cheltenham pass and raced from near the half-way line to go over for the bonus point try which he duly converted.
With injury time being played, Cheltenham crossed for an unconverted try which proved to be their only score of the match.
With the advantage of the slope and with the sun at their backs, Chosen took full control of the second half and added further tries from replacement centre Steve Merrick, winger Tom Darby, hooker Rob Panting, centre Scott Claridge and centre Ryan Rennebach who had moved to the wing to replace Higgs. King converted two of the tries for a personal contribution of fifteen points.
Next week Chosen travel to third placed Chew Valley who recorded a 45-6 victory over Cirencester
