On a day in which frequent downpours sent the spectators running for shelter, Chosen pulled off a fine win to get their season back on track.
Stroud opened the scoring after 12 minutes when they landed a penalty goal, but that was to be their only score until the final move of the match as Chosen took control with disciplined defence and some inspired attacking moves.
Centre Scott Claridge got Chosen's first points with a well worked try which number ten Andy King converted and two minutes later winger Tom Darby raced over for the visitors second, again converted by King.
A third Chosen try from hooker Joe Short after 25 minutes gave them a 19-3 interval lead.
Second half Chosen tries came from second row Marc Riddel, centre Scott Claridge with his second, full back Danny Davis and finally King who dummied his way over from fifteen meters out and then converted.
Stroud got a consolation try on the stroke of full time with the failed conversion signalling the end of the match.
Good news for Chosen was that their 2nds also won, defeating Stroud Nomads by 12-5 with tries from Connor O'Neill and Ross Creed with Dan Yeates adding a conversion.
