With the teams level on points before this match kicked off there was everything to play for, and with a host of Vice Presidents in attendance, Chosen produced their best performance of the season so far.

Despite heavy overnight rain the pitch was in fine condition and with the sun shining and a good crowd in attendance it was Chosen who had first use of the Brookfield Road slope but it was North who started strongly with only some great defence denying them an early score.

Chosen got their first points on the board after 15 minutes when scrum half John Wand raced over for a try with number ten Andy King adding the conversion. Three further first half tries were added by flanker Tom Gyde, full back Harry Matthews and winger Scott Claridge with King adding one conversion for a 24-0 half time lead.

At the start of the second half North pressed for an opening score but again Chosen's defence held firm and eight minutes into the half Chosen increased their lead when winger Harri Yorke crossed for a try converted by King. Next to score was Claridge with his second try of the match and King again added the conversion for a 38-0 lead.

With their confidence high, Chosen continued to throw the ball around and further tries, both from concerted forward drives , were added by replacement prop Leigh Dangerfield and hooker Joe Short, with King's conversion of Short's try bringing up the 50 points and signalling the end of the match.
