Chosen Hill suffered their heaviest defeat in years as injuries and red and yellow cards gave visitors Clevedon a helping hand towards victory.

Having first use of the slope, Chosen's problems began in the the second minute when young full-back Adam Scourfield had to leave the field after injuring himself in a tackle. Tom Bangs replaced him and with the match ten minutes old Chosen skipper Andy King put his side in front with a long range penalty goal.
Three minutes later the home side increased their lead when King chipped the ball over the Clevedon defence for winger Scott Claridge to follow up and race over for a try that King converted.
On seventeen minutes Clevedon outside half Thie crossed for a try and winger Hazeldine converted to bring his side within three points. Five minutes later a series of missed tackles allowed Clevedon flanker Birkin to cross for a try with Hazeldine again adding the extras.
Chosen were having difficulties defending against the pace of the Clevedon midfield and on twenty five minutes the visitors went further ahead with an unconverted try from Williams.
With half time approaching Chosen flanker Tom Gyde was sent off for alleged foul play and five minutes later they were reduced to thirteen men when second row Dean Barnard was yellow carded for pulling down a maul.
Despite their lack of numbers, the home side managed to reach half time without conceeding any further points but when centre Matt Elston was also sent to the bin for a tackle offence one minute into the second half it meant that Chosen had just twelve players on the pitch and the visitors took advantage with a try from centre Lowis converted by Hazeldine.
Chosen dug deep in both defence and attack but they lost replacement full back Sean Kavanagh with a recurrance of a shoulder injury and in the sixty fifth minute Clevedon added to their lead when centre Johns crossed for try number five with Hazeldine again adding the extras.
Three minutes later Haxeldine crossed himself and his conversion saw his side take an unassailable 47 - 10 lead.
Chosen battled on and got their reward for a period of sustained pressure when Barnard crashed over from a tap penalty. King added the conversion but Clevedon had the final say when a penalty goal from Hazeldine sealed victory and brought up his sides fifty points.
