Only two points down five minutes into the second half, a disasterous thirty five minute period saw Chosen eventually go down heavily at Ivybridge.

Home side Ivybridge eased their way into a six point lead with penalty goals after four and eight minutes but Chosen responded with a penalty goal of their own from Andy King after twenty minutes.
Just two minutes later Ivybridge increased their lead with an unconverted try but on the stroke of half time the home scrum half was sent to the bin for killing the ball and King landed the resultant penalty goal to narrow the gap to five points.
Chosen then lost both second row Marc Riddel and scrum half Tom Bangs with shoulder injuries and with no replacement number nine on the bench, hooker Chris Dallard had to move to scrum half with prop Jamie Wilce moving to hooker and replacements Dean Barnard and Nick Selway coming on.
King landed another penalty goal to narrow the gap to just two points but then disaster struck for the visitors. First they lost the ball in their own twenty two and Ivybridge seized on the opportunity to cross for a converted try, then just two minutes later some really sloppy defending in which four tackles were missed saw the home side winger race half the length of the pitch to score under the posts.
Back chat to the referee then cost Chosen two penalties and when King was sent to the sinbin for a high tackle it just about summed up Chosen's afternoon of frustration and errors.
A final Ivybridge try right on eighty minutes sealed a comfortable home victory and Chosen were left to reflect on an afternoon of missed opportunities and unfortunate injuries.
Among the few plus points for Chosen were the three early strikes against the head, the performances of young forwards Rich Planchant and Jamie Wilce and the direct running of centre Max Hough.
Next Saturday sees Chosen entertain second place Newton Abbot at Brookfield Road with a 2.30pm kick off.
