Fifth placed Bristolians fielded a big pack and although Chosen were on a par at the line-out they did feel the pressure in the set scrum and, taking their scoring opportunities well, the home side carved out a two try twelve points to nil interval lead.
A penalty goal from Chosen winger Ashley Lewis narrowed the gap at the start of the second half and they then scored a delightful try from full back Scott Claridge who fielded a high ball in his own twenty-two, charged forward and then chipped the last line of defence before collecting the ball on the bounce and crossing near the posts. Lewis added the conversion to close the gap to two points but despite their best efforts Chosen were unable to score again and Bristolians had the final say with a converted try.
Next week Chosen take a break from league and cup action before returning with a home fixture against North Bristol on 23rd November with a 2.30 kick-off.
