Chosen opened the scoring after twenty minutes when young winger Tom Darby raced over for a try near the corner but outside half Andy King’s conversion went wide.
Chosen’s recent run of success has been based on a good all round team effort, and again they showed their understanding of teamwork as forwards and backs all played their part in a fine defensive effort that kept their hosts at bay and with half time approaching King edged his side further in front with a penalty goal that made the score 8-0.
The second half was similar to the first in that both teams looked to attack from all quarters but firm defence was the order of the day and it took a fine break from Chosen centre Matt Elston to break the deadlock as he powered over for an unconverted try.
Chosen’s third try, this time converted by King, came from replacement Matt Bates.
The win moved Chosen up to fifth place in the table and next week they have a re-arranged home fixture against Berry Hill but before that they turn their attention to the Senior Combination Cup with an away trip to Hucclecote on Tuesday 8th April
