Both teams scored four tries but it was the accurate boot of Chosen’s Andy King that ensured victory for the visitors.

Chosen, who fielded another new-look side, gave a first team debut to young winger Deklan Gardiner and he was one of six players in the team that had progressed to senior rugby via the club’s successful junior set up.
Chosen opened the scoring after just two minutes when number ten Andy King landed a penalty goal after the home side were caught offside just outside their twenty two. Saracens then went on the attack and a sustained period of pressure ended when Chosen prop Jamie Wilce was sin-binned for illegal entry at a ruck but good Chosen defence meant the home side were unable to score from the resultant penalty lineout five metres out.
After twenty five minutes Chosen increased their lead when forwards and backs combined well in a flowing move that sent debutant Gardiner over near the corner for the opening try which King converted.
With Wilce now back on the pitch, he made amends for his sin-binning by charging down an attempted Saracens clearance kick and crossing near the post with King adding the conversion and the in-form kicker, who ended the match with a one hundred percent strike rate, then landed a neat drop goal to give his side a twenty point lead.
A minor scuffle just before half-time ended with Chosen prop Mike Darby being sent from the field meaning that the visitors would play all the second half with just fourteen men.
Saracens were first to score in the second half when they crossed for an unconverted try but Chosen struck back when winger Ryan Rennebach raced over for a try converted by King. The home side went on the attack again and charged towards the Chosen line and when the referee adjudged that a high tackle had halted the attack he awarded a penalty try with the conversion bringing the score to 12 – 27.
Skipper Tom Gyde then crossed for Chosen’s fourth and bonus point try with King’s conversion extending his side’s lead to twenty two points.
Two late tries, one of which was converted, gave Saracens a four try bonus point but it was Chosen who left Bristol with maximum points.
Next week there is no league rugby so Chosen return to action on the 6th of December when they have a home match against Burnham-on-Sea with a 2.15pm scheduled kick-off.
