Having recovered from a grand day out at Wembley on the Saturday, CHFP hosted Frampton Cotterell with the home supporters hoping that the boys had taken inspiration from the amazing performance put out by England's Rugby League side the day before.
Things started well for chosen, 2 minutes past, then 5, everyone looked astonished that we got to 10 minutes and weren't the customary 3 try's down before the boys woke up.
This game was an immense forward's battle with both sides giving everything they had. Both teams ran, tackled and supported each other like it was a cup final. The stalemate was final broken after 15 minutes when, from a penalty 10 meters out, the lion ROARED and barged his way over to touch down for the first try.
From the kick off nothing changed, both teams wanted this but a sustained period of play near the Frampton try line paid of 7 minutes later as Chardog Hewson rolled, literally, over for Chosen's second of the game and his 1st of the season.
With 5 minutes left before half time, it was the turn of the Chosen backs to earn their keep. From a scrum in their own 22, chosen moved the ball wide and it ended up in the hands of Alex B, beating two player, he shot off down the touchline before touching down under the posts, the conversion was good and with a few minute left to go before half time it was 17-0.
Frampton then decided to remind Chosen they couldn't run away with the game. With the chosen players being drawn into the forwards battle, Frampton released their backs with a huge over lap and ran in their opening try from the half way line, the conversion was good and all of a sudden it was half ook the chill off a crisp November morning.
